Albert Collins and Clayton Boulware added to their Day 1 Toledo Bend lead on a pretty tough and stingy Sam Rayburn bringing in five fish for 22.20 pounds, and also beat their previous Day 1 Big Bass with a 6.97 kicker, leading them to a two day 46.26 pound victory at the 2017 USA Fishing Trails Ray-Ledo Championship presented by TQPR Contractors! Well done, gentlemen! Brandon Baker and Cole Stewart took second place with a two day weight of 41.35 pounds. Jeff Fisher and Mike Trpkosh finished third with 35.49 pounds. 2017 Ray-Ledo AOYs Thomas McMillan and Mark Price finished in fourth with 34.67.
Day 2 – Sam Rayburn
Day 1 – Toledo Bend
Toledo Bend fished really tough for half of the field today, but Albert Collins and Clayton Boulware took the lead with a nice five fish stringer that went 24.06 pounds, and they also took the lead for Big Bass with a 6.71 kicker. Jeff Fisher and Mike Trpkosh are in a close second with 22.37 pounds, and Joe Wilkerson and Joe Eidson are just behind them with 21.76 pounds. Day two heads to Sam Rayburn, and with the way that lake has been fishing, it’s possible to pull a 30+ pound stringer out on any given day, so this one is still anyone’s game. Good luck to everyone tomorrow!
